Born on February 25, 1951. Graduated from the Shchukin Theater School. People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. Honored Filmmaker of Russia. Before election to the Moscow City Duma worked as stage director, actor of the Central Film Studio of Children′s and Youth Films named after M. Gorky.
Has a number of State Awards:
- Order of Honor (2001);
- Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland’ of the IV Degree (2006);
- Order of Friendship (2011);
- Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland’ of the III Degree (2018).
Deputy of Moscow City Duma III (2001-2005), IV (2005-2009), V (2009-2014) and VI (2014-2019).
Re-elected the Duma deputy on September 8, 2019.
