From 2001 to 2014 worked as Chief Doctor of Children’s City Hospital No. 102; Children’s City Polyclinic No. 110; Deputy Director on Medical Aid to the Population of the State Public Institution «Directorate for Support of Activity of State Institutions of Healthcare in the Northeastern Administrative District».

From 2008 was the Deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Municipal District Bibirevo.

From April 2014 to March 2015 L.R. Kartavtseva was Deputy Chief Doctor on Relations with the Population and Public Organizations of the State Clinical Hospital named after A.K. Eramishantsev.
