Moscow traditionally maintains close contacts with foreign legislative and representative bodies of power, both regional and state, cooperates actively with the subjects of the Russian Federation, capitals and large cities. Such cooperation is focused on exchange of experience in addressing the urgent problems of city management and improvement of the life quality of inhabitants.
Apart from legislative bodies the Duma actively cooperates with other bodies and organizations: trade-unions of Austria, Spain and Belgium; youth organization of Germany; Committee for State Control of Mongolia; audit of Beijing; Audit Chamber of Berlin; European Lawyers’ Union; Union of Journalists of Korea; societies of friendship with Russia in Slovenia and France; student and sport organizations of Belgium, Sweden, USA.
For many years the Moscow City Duma cooperates actively with such international organizations as UNESCO, Delphian Council, Ebert and Seidel Foundations of Germany and others.
