Russian TV journalist and reporter, host of the program ‘Your Truth’ on NTV channel. From 2010 to 2019, he hosted the program ‘The Right to Vote’ on TV-Center channel. Chief Editor of the radio station ‘Moscow Says’. TEFI prizewinner. Author of several documentaries and the book ‘Territory of war. Round-the-world report from hot spots.’
Born on December 7, 1967 in Baku.
In 1984, he was enrolled on the faculty of radio engineering of the Polytechnic Institute. From 1986 to 1988, he served as a member of the Southern group of Soviet troops in Hungary. In 1988, he transferred to the Moscow Institute of Communications at the faculty of Television and radio and graduated in 1991.
Immediately after graduating from the Institute in 1991, he was hired by the all-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) as an engineer.
In 1993, he became a TV-correspondent.
From 1993 to 2000, he worked in the ‘Vesti’ program on Russian television. He worked his way up from an ordinary correspondent to a political observer.
Since 2000, he moved to the position of political observer for the ‘Time’ program of channel One and worked there until 2005.
From 2005 to 2013, he worked on channel Three. He was the Host of the information program ‘City,’ Chief Editor of the final programs ‘Conclusions’ and ‘Main topic.’
As a defence correspondent and observer, he visited all hot spots in Russia and abroad without exception.
Member of the Public Chamber of the Moscow region.
Member of the Commission on informational support of the state national policy of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on inter-ethnic relations.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the Order ‘For Personal Courage’ (1994), the medal ‘For Strengthening Military Cooperation’ (2002), medal ‘Combat Brotherhood’ (2004), the medal ‘For Merit to the Fatherland’ of the II Degree (2019).
Married. He has three sons.
